To keep the growing jumble of stored data under control, Outlook categories are mostly used in Outlook. Sooner or later questions come up, like: What happens to the categories during a data loss on client or server level? How do I secure user-defined categories? How do I make uniform categories available to users centrally and company-wide?

For all these problems a central category management would be the optimal answer. However, this is simply not provided for in Outlook/Exchange!

OLXCat offers a perfectly coordinated solution for this: You determine categories that can be defined as you wish, which are managed centrally. And Cat updates the local main category list of the individual Outlook clients fully automatically.

Finally, uniform categories across the company

Central category management means: No more hundreds of different category lists in users' local Outlook installations. Category duplicates are also a thing of the past with Cat.

With Cat, all categories to be used company-wide are created in a central folder. This individually definable main category list can be conveniently administered via any public folder.

Always up to date

Cat reliably ensures that categories within Outlook are automatically updated for all users. Both in on- and offline mode. Conveniently maintain an overview: The software independently identifies all categories that are not centrally managed and provides an immediate background update when the central category inventory changes.

Outlook color category support

Cat also supports color categories. You can centrally assign colors to Outlook categories in Cat: To do this, simply paste the name of the color into the text field of the central category in the shared category folder (e.g. in the corresponding public folder). Now the color name is automatically converted into a color category.

Central category determination

Cat manages and determines your Outlook categories comfortably and effectively. You can use Cat to determine locally created categories for central synchronization separately by location. You can choose between personal folders, Exchange mailboxes and public folders.

Categories integrated

By merging Cat and the former Categories tool, the software is a highly effective, virtual cleanup service for easier category management.
